We founded Sahara’s in 2002 with the objective of serving a variety of traditional Turkish dishes to the diverse population of New York City. As 4 siblings from a small mountain village in Eastern Turkey, we had to learn the business from scratch.
We spent years in Istanbul and other urban centers of Turkey to learn the art of culinary cuisine, and we were able to reach New York and open Sahara’s with the cozy & comfy atmosphere it has today. With the best Turkish food NYC has to offer, we invite you to try our Babaganoush as an appetizer, Chicken Shish Kebab for lunch, or Baklava for dessert.
